"The Man with No Skin" Named IPPY Award Semi-finalist -- posted by Susan Lutz Hamilton

"The Man with No Skin" by Órfhlaith Ní Chonaill has been named a semi-finalist in the 2006 Independent Publisher Book Awards Multicultural Fiction Adult Category.
Final results are scheduled to be announced on May 10.
The "IPPY" Awards, launched in 1996, are designed to bring increased recognition to the deserving but often unsung titles published by independent authors and publishers. Established as the first awards program open exclusively to independents, over 1,000 "IPPYs" have been awarded to authors and publishers around the world.
It is wonderful to see Órfhlaith's work recognized in one of the top two national awards programs for independent publishers. Kudo's also to Gail Cross for an eye catching cover design and to Dorrie O'Brien for her editing work. Both helped tremendously to produce a quality product. --Sue |
