I believe it's important for writers to attend a writers conference each year. Besides continuing your craft education, a conference gives you the opportunity to eat, breathe and sleep writing so you get charged up about what you're doing again. I always feel that if you walk away with one good tip and one new friend you have covered your admission costs.
There are two great conferences on the Front Range. Pikes Peak Writers hosts their annual conference April 20 - 22 at the Wyndham Hotel in Colorado Springs. Besides top notch presenters, the conference attracts good editors and agents.
The other great conference in the area is the Colorado Gold Conference sponsored by the Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers in Denver in early September each year. I will post more details on it as they are available.
