It has been way too long since I have posted here. Spring was a busy time!
I had the privilege of working on and editing a book The Adoption Exchange of Denver is producing to celebrate their 25th anniversary. The spring session of the writers workshop has been in full swing and I've been busy getting a new novel ready for press.
"Cleaning Closets" by Susan DeBow will be released soon. It is women's fiction and tells the story of Lydia Calypso, a retired school teacher. Within a few years time Lydia loses a son to suicide and her husband dies. The combination of coping with both paralyzes her.
One of her daughters tries to push her into selling her home. The very first thing the Realtor tells her is she needs to dejunk the place and CLEAN OUT THE CLOSETS. Lydia makes a family project out of the task and discovers there is a lot about her family, her children, and herself she did not know. Facing the past empowers her to reclaim her own life and move on into the future.
Susan hails from Maineville, Ohio, near Cincinnati. She recently had a poetry chapbook released and is working on a compilation of essays and columns for another publisher.
My award-winning team of editor Dorrie O'Brien and cover designer Gail Cross have been hard at work to produce another spectacular book for Dialogue Publishing. I think readers of "Paying the Price" will enjoy "Cleaning Closets."
